I visited the Napoleao wine shop, Lisbon last week. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable however the prices were nearly double the amount I would expect to pay in the uk, certainty disappointing value for money.

Super awesome news!!! Always wanted to visit Rioja and to do this with a "returning" EWBC crew is totally amazing!!! Ever since I have discovered Patatas a la Riojana (made by my terrible twin Onneca Guelbenzu) I have known that flavour = Rioja big time!! I may have to move a few mountains (and v hard to change lessons) but I am definitely going to see you all in Rioja in October. And best of all - my ticket will be paid with money I have made from writing - a dream come through inspired and encouraged by previous EWBC participations :-)

l read your all article but l want to inform you that you said Selendi but you are wrong because Manisa has just one district which we call Selendi but place where known with wine call Akselendi not Selendi.... Akselendi is small site of Akhisar :))

Anyone going to Istanbul should must-see the Chora Church, and eat at the restaurant just across the small plaza from it; excellent turkish cuisine of the Sultans-style. Chora has among the most amazing byzantine mosaices and frescos anywhere short of Ravenna.
I also heartily recommend going across to the Asia side on the ferry into Kadiköy to Ciya Sofrasi, which is a cool place to visit, but also has one of the best home-style turkish food restaurants (actually 3- specializing in kebabs, and more slow-cooked dishes as well as mezes) in the city.-- Joel Butler MW
